I am going to start today with a quote and it’s from Calvin Coolidge, the 30th president
of the United States. He said this:
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not: unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
In other words, persistence and determination alone are all powerful. And my inspiration for the subject of Persistence this week, comes from a Jacquie Straight Up
viewer who took advantage of the free coaching sessions that I offered everyone back in July.
She was in desperate need of a new job and more money – I spent 45 minutes sharing with her how to make that a reality as well as how to make an upcoming family reunion in Italy possible for her and her family to attend. Three months later, just last week, I received this email from Candice.
There are 2 things that made Candice successful here. Firstly immediately after our session she began to take action and put into practice what we had discussed. Secondly and most important of all, while she became discouraged along the way, she did NOT give up. That’s the lesson that I really want
you to take to heart today.
Whatever worthy thing it is that you are pursuing, you will likely be discouraged and it will most likely take longer than you’d hoped but do not give up. Tweak and adapt your approach if necessary but don’t stop. Begin each new day believing that
today could be the day.
The majority of people in this world never accomplish what they wish for or get close to their potential not because they not talented, smart or gifted but simply because they give up when they hit a major bump in the road.
Success is inevitable if you never give up! So go all out this week in pursuit of your goal and let me know in the comments below this video what you are working towards and what solutions work for you when you are feeling discouraged on your journey to change or to achieve something important to you....
