The Best Medicine!

Welcome to this week’s broadcast of Jacquie Straight Up, the place to be if you want to live a kick-ass life of wealth, happiness and freedom! I want to talk to you today about laughter. Milton Berle said that “Laughter is an instant vacation!”  So true right? When you think about it, laughter is an instant vacation. The medical science community has known about the benefits of laughter for some time, but here are some of them…..

It improves cardio vascular function. It actually causes the release of endorphins and other mood enhancing and pain relieving chemicals into the system. So laughter is really good for us. I know that its very difficult to bring more laughter into our lives when times are tough and you’re going through a rough period. But that’s just when you need it the most! So I’ve got some tips for you as to how to bring more laughter into your life.

One of the things I love to do is watch re-runs of old sitcoms, even when I’m feeling blue, I laugh out loud! Some of the sitcoms like Will and Grace, Seinfeld, Frazier, and Friends.  The really witty, clever sitcoms from our past. Another thing I like to do is watch my favorite comedians on YouTube. Anything that causes me to literally laugh out loud no matter what the situation that I’m going through at the time. Another thing is playing with kids and animals. For me, dogs always bring great joy and laughter into my life! Another tip is to go to a funny movie with a friend, silly things are funnier when you’re with somebody then when you’re on your own! So invite a friend to a funny movie. There are ways that even when you’re feeling blue, you can really make a conscious decision to bring more laughter into your life. Because the benefits are great! And I highly recommend that you take advantage of it!

So that’s it you guys, I just wanted to remind you to bring some more laughter into your life, it is so good for you! Have a great week and make sure to leave me a comment below this video and let me know what you think. When has laughter really served you when times were tough? I know what you mean Dani! Just remember that your success and happiness in life does not depend on what government is in power…Focus on your own world and on what you have control over and all will be well! Big hugs.XO

Laughter is freeing….It really does let the endorphins out and does something truly remarkable to your mood and soul! I think too that many don’t laugh out loud because they are self-conscious about it, or feel too vulnerable to….but it’s truly freeing and such a gift to allow yourself to experience! 🙂 This was such a great message Jacquie….I am off to find something funny now to start giggling!
