How to Let Go

Last week on Jacquie Straight Up, we spoke about resistance, and how most often it comes from a strange phenomenon, the fear of success. But what happens when you have already taken all the action that you can possibly take, and have worked so hard in a pursuit of a dream, but it’s just not happening.

What then?

What to do next, is what this week’s Jacquie Straight up is all about.

It’s about the art of Surrender.

I have played lip service to the power of surrender for many years, thinking that I had it down. But since reading the incredible book, Letting Go the Pathway of Surrender by David Hawlkins, I’ve really got it.

So I want to it share with you.

I know you can relate to some of this. Maybe you have written a great book and have been turned down by a hundred publishers, or have written a great resume, but the interviews are just not happening. Or have been on a hundred dates but you still can’t find the partner you have longed for?

We can all relate to times like these, where we have given it our all, only to be constantly disappointed and that’s when stress, anxiety, and desperation take over.

When we have taken all the action possible to bring about something we want so badly into fruition, we can start to feel desperate, discouraged, stressed and anxious.

But here’s the thing I want you to really know. It is that stress, anxiety and desperation actually act like a barrier to all good things. It’s as though that negative energy actually builds a wall and blocks the very thing that we want.

It’s at exactly that time, the time where we spin our wheels, that we must surrender the outcome. Some people surrender the outcome to God. For me, I surrender it simply to the universe at large. Where you surrender the outcome doesn’t matter, what matters is that you release it from yourself.

You release the hold that the outcome has on you.

Everything is connected to the flow of energy. Desperation and anxiety create negative energy, whereas releasing and letting go of that negative energy opens up your pathways to creativity, inspiration and innovation again, so that the answer to what to do next will come to you.

It’s not a long winded process and there are no steps to take, it is simply a decision to let go, and when you do you will free yourself.

The question is, are you ready to let go of stress and anxiety so that the good things can happen in your life?

I totally agree, there are somethings that we just need to leave to fate. Stress and anxiety often overcome my daily life, its nice to know i am supported here and that sometime I just need to surrender to what the universe has in store for me. I feel better already.

Thanks Rose! Yes, as long as we take all the action that is available to us, then surrender is the next step to success!
