08 Apr Sleep Your Way To The Top
How many times have you heard this one:
“Who cares about sleep? You can sleep when you’re dead.”
Well, I TOTALLY disagree.
In my opinion, it’s a stupid expression, only used by braggarts whose lack of sleep will most likely contribute to their early demise.
And whether you agree with me or not, it’s hard to deny the importance of getting your rest.
In fact, I would argue that a lack of sleep impacts everything: your willpower, your weight, your productivity…your entire life!
That’s why in today’s episode of Jacquie Straight Up, I explain why getting plenty of sleep — yes, 7 or 8 hours every night — is CRITICAL for achieving your goals.
Now, you might feel you’re one of those “super-humans” who can survive on 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night. But I’m fairly certain that if you give me just three minutes, I’ll be able to convince you that if you get more sleep, you’ll actually become more productive! Click above to watch.
Today’s episode is part of my 6 S’s of Fabulous: Surroundings, Sweat, Sustenance, Sleep, Sex and Style. They’re all essential, because how you feel about yourself determines your destiny. And by doing something as easy as getting enough sleep, you’re able to take charge of your destiny, right now.
You see, when we get enough sleep to renew and rejuvenate our bodies and our minds, we see our way around obstacles and challenges, and begin to tap into our awesome potential.
Of course, for many people, sleep doesn’t always come easy. Here’s a few of my favorite tips for nodding off:
– Don’t watch TV in your bedroom. It’s a sacred place — just for sleep and sex.
– Keep your room cool at night
– Eat dinner early
– Drink caffeine, but only in the mornings
– Exercise (a tired body sleeps)
– Have an orgasm (in my experience, an orgasm trumps chamomile tea any day of the week!)
– Listen to motivational audiobooks (I explain more in today’s video)
Remember, life will reward you when you are working diligently on being the best you that you can be. You deserve to feel good and live out your destiny…and it can all begin by getting enough sleep!
