WHY YOU NEED TO PLAN A TRIP…ALONE! (LIVE FROM TORONTO)

This week on Jacquie Straight Up, I’m thrilled to be coming at you from the heart of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I’m here to participate in the National Women’s Show on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and already it has been one wild ride.

From a radio interview on a top-rated show, to a national TV interview, to gearing up for my speech on the main stage, it’s been a very productive and exhilarating time. And I still have three more days to interact with the thousands of women who will be coming by the show! I so love meeting new people…can’t wait!

But enough about my schedule.

I wanted to talk to you about the value of travel, and how it can build your courage and confidence, and ultimately help you build the life you want.

Here’s the deal…

My travel schedule leading up to the show has been a bit crazy. From London to France to California to Toronto, I’ve spent more than my fair share of time in an airplane over the past few weeks. But despite the busyness, it got me thinking about the incredible benefits that come from traveling.

There are so many good things we get when we leave home and break from our routine, particularly when it comes to boosting our inner strength. Watch above as I explain more.

I dig deeper in today’s video, but in my opinion, one of the best ways to build your courage and confidence is to travel alone. Yup. ALONE.

When you take a solo trip, you really have to step out of your comfort zone. It forces you to talk to strangers, ask questions, and do things you probably wouldn’t do if you were traveling with someone else.

No doubt about it: traveling alone pushes you out of your comfort zone, but when you’re out of your comfort zone, you’re building your courage muscle.

So today, if you’re thinking about a trip, but putting it off because you don’t have a travel companion, I would encourage you to just do it! Be tempted to go on your own, as long as it is to a relatively safe place.

If you have the opportunity to book a trip, consider bucking the trend and actually plan to do it solo…you’ll be so glad you did. Your courage and confidence will soar.

Thank-you so much for watching today’s video. If you’ve liked it, hit the like button and share it with your family and friends.

And if you are in the Greater Toronto Area, please come by and visit me at the National Women’s Show. I would so love to meet you! I take the main stage Friday at 1:15 PM to talk about risk taking, rule breaking, and living a kick-ass life. I’ll also giving away a FABULOUS Gucci purse, but you have to pop by my booth (#905) to enter to win.

I’ll see you back here next week!

Sending love and strength,

Jacquie
