03 Jul Behind on your goals? Here’s what to do (straight from the pool)!
It’s July 3rd. Summer has arrived in full force. And I’m back in the brilliant Palm Springs sunshine.
As you can imagine, it’s hot here in the desert, and I’m escaping the intense heat in the best way I know how: IN THE POOL!
Yup, I’m broadcasting from in the water, live from my backyard. Woo-hoo!
I must admit, poolside blogging isn’t my typical modus operandi, and this is a first for me. But, you know what? As I’m sure you’ll be able to tell in today’s video, I enjoyed it!
There is always a first time for everything…and this is all part of becoming your own soul mate, and not being afraid to go against the grain or worrying about what others think. So try something new this week (like poolside blogging)…you might just like it, and achieve something cool!
Being the first week of July — and half way through the year — I wanted to check in with you and see how you are doing with achieving your year-long goals. I really hope you are having some success!
But if you’re not on track, that’s OK. This is what’s today’s Jacquie Straight Up is all about: making peace with missing deadlines and falling behind on your goals. Click the video above to watch.
It’s important to recognize — and admit — that goals can take longer to reach than what we had originally planned or hoped for. The key is to NOT GET DISCOURAGED. Instead, the important thing is that you KEEP at it! Do something every day to work towards what you want. Don’t give up!
I’ve found that the timing of everything is on the Universe’s timetable, not ours. It’s up to us to take action…but then the Universe decides on the timing. Sometimes that’s not quick enough for us, but we must be patient, and let things run their course.
In today’s episode, I also share with you my other BIG TIP on how on to propel your dreams and goals forward, a little trick that I use on a monthly basis. It involves “back to the future” thinking whereby you project yourself forward to the end of the year (or month) writing down what the future looks like and then reading it every day, asking yourself what you need to do TODAY to make sure it becomes a reality. This is a brilliant trick, and it really works wonders!
I encourage you today to make the rest of your year count. Move yourself much closer to your goals and dreams every day. We only have five months until December, and then it’s 2015!
