17 May How to put a Positive spin on Discipline!
In this week’s video, I wanted to share a word and a rather surprising definition. This week I had heard this word and its’ definition for the first time and it had a huge impact on me and my mindset.
It is the definition of Self discipline. “Self discipline is remembering what you want”
It’s that simple, to me that is just the coolest definition for it. The reason is that it does not contain words like “ought” or “should.” because nothing builds up resistance more than hearing that.
So whatever it is that you are facing, whether a new habit or a new routine you are trying to implement to get you closer to your goal, just remember what it is that you want and that is why you are taking this step.
I love this definition because it puts a positive spin of self discipline. So as you go about this week doing whatever it is that gets you one step closer to your goal, remember that.
If you liked this video please click the “like” button and share with your friends, I’d really appreciate that. And you know I love to hear from you, and I would love to hear from you this week, what you think of that definition. Does it change the way you think about self discipline or do you have your own personal definition of the word, if so let us know if the comments below this video I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Posted at 10:11h, 17 MayThis is amazing. I have always associated self discipline with something that I “should be doing.” It has always made me feel like I have already failed because the “should” implied that I was unsuccessful at implementing it in the past which is why I “should” be implementing it now. This just gave me a new perspective on the situation. Its not a repentance or a obligation or even failure, self discipline is a positive step towards achieving your goals! Thanks Jacquie.

Posted at 10:24h, 17 MayI too think this is the coolest definition of Self Discipline. This completely reshaped how I looked at that word. It takes the chore aspect out of the situation and turns it into something fun. This is something I am defiantly going to share. I think that if people thought about discipline as remembering what you want verse something with the connotation of restraint, a lot more people wouldn’t be discouraged to go for what they want.
