23 Apr Do you have a Plan B?
Most of us are ingrained with the notion that we must always have a Plan B.
We’re taught that we absolutely should have “something” to fall back on, just in case our dreams don’t pan out.
But I believe the “Plan B Philosophy” is exactly the thing that prevents us from really reaching our potential, and achieving our dreams.
When I immigrated to Canada from South Africa over twenty years ago, I had no Plan B. I had no other choice but to jump in, boots and all. I left myself no escape route.
And it wasn’t easy. At one point, I found myself backed into a desperate corner with only one month’s rent left in the bank. I recall tense days spent sweating bullets, and sleepless nights spent stressing about my future.
But here’s the thing: I discovered that it is truly amazing what you can do when giving up isn’t an option. I share more details in today’s video, but if you’re like most people and you’re struggling with amazing yourself and becoming all you can be, then today’s Jacquie Straight Up is for you.
The universe does not respond to “wishy-washy.” It responds to bold commitments, and declarations with no escape routes.
So how badly do you want to achieve your dreams? How committed are you? Do you have a burning desire? Maybe it’s time to burn those bridges that enable a hasty retreat from your dreams.
Believe me, the “Plan B Philosophy” can lead to a lifetime spent in “Mediocreville.”
Nothing says burning desire quite like nothing to fall back on.
After you’ve had a chance to watch this week’s episode, I’d love to hear what you think. Do you agree? Is it time to reject Plan B, and just go with Plan A?
If you feel this has served you, or perhaps prompted you to view opportunities a bit differently, please hit the “like” button, and share it with your friends…you never know, they may just need an extra bit of encouragement to break free from the blandess of Plan B.
I look forward to seeing you next week!
Sending love and strength,
Jacquie
