28 Feb Why Compliment?
Do you remember the last time someone complimented you? It felt great right?
This Jacquie Straight Up has a fun little story about a hot guy on the hiking trail and the power of a genuine compliment.
Enjoy this video and remember to compliment freely and from the heart, expecting nothing in return.

Posted at 09:24h, 28 FebruarySo true! I love to compliment people – it’s funny how people are often awkward in receiving a compliment though.

Posted at 09:26h, 28 FebruaryHey Jacquie, well here’s one back to you- I was immediately drawn to open the link and watch the video because you look so beautiful…really natural, joyful and appealing. Austin and the road trip must be going well…wish I was in the States because for sure I would come and see your one woman show! Let me know if you ever are coming through Nairobi and we’ll have a blast. I really believe that we don’t compliment each other enough- especially woman to woman- and it means so much when someone says something unexpected and kind. A compliment is such a gift…it can change your whole day, boost your confidence and make your heart glow. Thanks for sharing the hiking story- I love that you connected through the compliment and that led to more…

Posted at 05:07h, 01 MarchI going to add that in! Years ago I began saying “Have a good day” to the end of my conversations even short random ones while waiting in a line or somewhere. It brings me joy to see the little moment of pleasure it often brings others. I even use it on my emails! Later I started to take an extra moment when eye contact leads to a greeting to ask others “how are you?” and pause for the response…… this too is a gift to others and a pleasure to me. We both have to consider the response and have an opportunity to be glad in it or change it. I was lucky enough to have a member of my team stop me one morning as I was walking around saying good morning. He told me they appreciated that not only did I ask but that I cared about the answer. I love to bring a smile to others and I get a bit of joy myself from it!

Posted at 06:41h, 28 AugustHi Jacqui, it was so wonderful to hear you speech at the Fearless Woman Summit in St. Johns, NL!!! We absolutely loved you and cannot wait for the next show in NL, VIP, yes!!
Thanks for your totally honesty and words of wisdom, we all need a kick in the pants every now and then and your speech motivated me last night! I took to heart everything but most importantly one thing you said; true love is not forcing change upon a person, it is accepting them for who and what they are. Wow, i knew this but I was not practising it very well. I was trying sooo hard to change my husband and make him follow what I wanted, and stop this very bad habit he has, it makes him dig his heel sin more, thus ensues a raging argument. Not goo! I will learn better true love in my ways and approach, so thank you Jacqui. You have INSpired me! much love from Newfoundland!! xo
