10 Jan Change Your State!
Hello everyone, I’m Jacquie Somerville, Founder of the Be Your Own Soul Mate movement. Welcome to this week’s broadcast of Jacquie Straight Up, the place to be if you want to live a kick-ass life of wealth, happiness and freedom. This is my very first video of 2017 and while many of you received an e-mail from me on New Years Day wishing you a Happy New Year, I want to take this opportunity to do that again. Happy Happy New Year! May 2017 be the breakthrough year for you! The year that you have been waiting for. Where all the good things come. Where you finally get what you want, and where you finally get closer to your dreams and to your desires. That’s my wish for you this year.
So to that end, I wanted to address something that I feel a lot of people go through once the excitement of the brand new year is over and you start to realize a couple of weeks in, that’s it’s the same old same old so the fear comes up that this is not going to be the change year, that you’re not going to make it different this year, that you’re in the same place again. What do you do when that starts to play along in your mind? And as you know, it’s always about the middle of the month when all the resolutions go to hell anyway. So that’s what I wanted to address. How is this year going to be different for you?
One of the most important things you could do is to change your state, your state of mind. Even your physical state. Because all of your states are connected. Your physical, your spiritual, your mental state is all connected. How do you change your state so that you vibrate at the level that attracts what you want as opposed to the level that blocks it. You see, we can do things right now to change our state. And we can do things that create a level that we vibrate at so that we attract what we want as opposed to a lower level of existence which just creates more stress, anxiety, and worry. How do you do that? You know, it’s really quite simple, it just has to be done over and over again. So the first thing is, we can change our state by loud music, by dancing, by moving our bodies, by exercise, by the food we eat. We can change our mental and physical state instantly. Get energized, stand up, move around! For me, its dancing to loud music, hip hop preferably first thing in the morning. And yes, I do that in my underwear and with heals on. I don’t know why. It just helps me feel better, it makes me feel sexy, it raises my vibration. So that’s what I do first thing in the morning. I exercise. I love to run and I love to hike. Those things raise the level of vibration that I’m at. So that’s some of the physical stuff you could do. Get moving. Really change your state. Force it to change.
Secondly, how do you change the thought process, the mental state? How you do that is you use affirmations or mantras or both. When you strut around the house saying “I’m a strong sexy wealthy woman” or “I’m a strong, confident woman” , whatever it is that works for you. Make that the dominant thought in your mind all day every day. So when you start feeling negative stuff coming in, just go back to your mantra. Walk around in the morning with a strut in your step and say your mantra. That stuff changes your mental state, I promise you. And when you change the state that you’re in, you start to attract the good stuff. When you’re vibrating at that level, that high level, you attract good. When you’re vibrating at very low ranges, you’re not going to attract what you want. You’re going to attract more stress and more anxiety.
So make this the year that you actually take the ACTION. Do that stuff to change your state so that you start attracting opportunity, and wealth, and love, and success in your life this year. You can do it, and you have the power. You have the power over your thoughts by using mantras and affirmations. And you have the power over your physical being and your physical state by getting up and moving and using the things that are at your disposal like music and dance, and being out in nature and getting some exercise and choosing some great food to power your amazing, magnificent body. These are the things you could do right now to change your state so that this is the year that you make the changes you want to make. This is your breakthrough year!

I read out loud a mantra that I wrote for myself every morning when I am on the exercise bike. It reminds me who I am/ aim to be in this world. Spiritually/emotionally, meditation and taking deep cleansing breaths centers me and raises my vibration. I aim to meditate 15 minutes daily and take deep breaths take throughout the day. I also think doing small kind gestures for others–even just smiling at people–raises my vibration.
