05 Aug GRATITUDE + CONSISTENCY = SUCCESS!
You may recall that a few weeks ago, I shared the news that my second book, My Crazy Little Rule Book, was picked up by a New York publisher and will be hitting bookshelves in April of 2015.
Your response to my posting simply overwhelmed me with gratitude!
I received so many “likes,” personal notes, and kind words of congratulations…my heart is full. I feel truly blessed and connected to you, and I’m so very grateful. Thank-you so much for your support. (Watch the video above to hear more of my heartfelt thanks.)
Counting your blessings and expressing gratitude on a regular basis is one of oh-so-important factors for creating the successful life you want and deserve. Another big part is living your life with CONSISTENCY, and this is the second piece of today’s episode — a lesson inspired by one of my recent hiking adventures.
So much comes to me when I’m out exercising, and the other day, I took off hiking up the mountain, well behind a group of fast-talking, fast-moving teenagers. But by the time I had reached the steepest incline, I actually started to overtake them, one by one. I was shocked! I’m about 30 years older than these guys…but it got me thinking: consistency ALWAYS wins.
I share more in today’s Jacquie Straight Up, but the big lesson is this:
As long as you are always moving steadily forward, you’ll win at this game of life.
Put one step in front of the other, be consistent and persistent, and life will reward you.
Believe me, the compounding effect of consistency far outweighs occasional sudden bursts of activity. Add on a daily dose of gratitude, and you’re be well on your way to living a life that is so successful, it’s scandalous!
My book deal did not happen overnight. It took years of consistent effort to make this happen. But I focused on the long term goal, and consciously remembered to give thanks for the little victories. And if I can do it, so can you.
So here’s my big question for you today: in what areas of your life do you need to be more consistent? Please let me know in the comments section where you need to add a bit more consistency in your life. Or maybe you would like to share how being consistent has led to your success? I can’t wait to hear from you!

Thanks, once again, for all your support! It means so much to me.
Sending love and strength,
Jacquie

Posted at 08:53h, 06 AugustWhere could I use more consistency? — balancing the “fun & easy activities” with the “hard and necessary”. I think that’s called work?? I’ve got the fun part down. And as I ask the question of myself, I’m reminded of the value of asking about “why” ? I guess the more I remember why doing the work is important to me, the more likely I will actually do the work. Thanks.

Posted at 09:38h, 13 AugustGreat comment Dan, and definitely relatable! Doing the work comes easier when we have a burning desire for the outcome. I’m so driven right now because of my goals and dreams but it hasn’t always been this way – There have been times when the work has felt like pulling teeth!
I do love the fact that you are having FUN!! And that’s a great reminder for me! xo
