As much as I love my city of Vancouver, the long and gloomy winters are tough to take and so I present to you…My Winter Abode! I purchased this home in the California desert in February 2011. The bones were there for me – walls of glass, a contemporary feel, open plan living and a beautiful pool and yard. Necessary renovations were quite minor but we did overhaul all three bathrooms, repaint, and add a beautiful built-in BBQ and fire pit outside. Robert Bailey (my designer) and I have had extreme fun furnishing this home almost entirely with vintage furniture and accessories! Who knew? Having never been into “vintage”, I surprised myself by absolutely loving the process and the results!
