Be Grateful for Challenges!

It is American Thanksgiving on Thursday and I’ve been thinking long and hard about what I wanted to say to you this week in the spirit of  Thanksgiving. The first thing I would like to say is thank you to all of you. Thank you for being my loyal viewers, my Jacquie Straight Up subscribers. Thank you for all of the e-mails you send me and the comments you leave, and the notes that you write. Keep them coming! I love to hear from you. It’s extremely fulfilling and I cannot tell you how much joy we get from hearing that we make a difference in your lives. So keep it coming, keep watching, and thank you so much!

I wanted to also dig a little deeper this year. I usually talk about gratitude at this time of the year because gratitude is such an essential success and happiness principal. Its so important to at least take a moment everyday to be grateful for the things that are going well in your life.  Because that takes the focus off of what’s not working. And what we focus on expands. So if we focus on what’s working and what’s good in our lives. We get more good. So that’s why gratitude is so important. I want to go a little deeper though and talk about how to handle things when you’re stretched to your limit, when you’re challenged immensely, when things don’t seem to be going right, when the very core of your being is being questioned. When everything that you believe in is thrown into disarray. How do you find gratitude in that dark place?

Without darkness there is no light. Without massive challenge, there is no growth. So those of us who step into the area and who step up to the plate and take big risks also have massive challenges. But that’s why we have massive growth. And that’s why we’re constantly perusing enlightenment. Without those challenges there is no growth and there is no enlightenment. So at this time of the year especially, find it in your heart to give thanks for your challenges. To look at them as amazing opportunity for growth and  enlightenment. You’re challenges happen for you and not to you. Continue to look at them that way and that is what they will be. They are amazing opportunities for growth, for expansion, and for enlightenment. So continue to take risks, continue to step up to the plate, continue to fly in the face of convention. Yes, you will continue to be challenged. But I can’t think of a better way to live without regret. You will grow, you will be enlightened, you will have a life that you will look back on with pride and with joy and with love and without regret.

So that’s my message to you this Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to you wherever you are in the world! Take a little moment to be grateful for everything including your challenges. There is always light at the end of the tunnel and it is a lot brighter than the light that you left behind. Believe it and it will be your reality.

Thanks for watching, I’ll see you next week for another episode of Jacquie Straight Up- Bye!

Hi Jacquie, I fractured my ankle and it is in a cast. during this time I am living with my brother and both he and his wife are helping me out. I am so very grateful for all they do, but deep down inside I sometimes feel like I come across as being ungrateful as I tend to comment on things.
