My BIGGEST Lesson of the Year!

Oh my gosh you guys – I am freaking out! I am turning 50 years old on Friday OMG 50 years old and yes, it happens to be on Friday the 13th – How appropriate for such a terrifying thing.

I didn’t think I was going to die young but I also never thought I’d be 50 – I don’t know what I thought. It’s weird – That pretty much sums it up – weird. I feel like at 50 you kind of cross over to the “older” side – its when you get colonoscopies and your vitamins change from regular to Centrum Silver – oh god… And then this arrives in the mail addressed to me at my home from some company called Trident and on the bottom left hand corner of the envelope it says “Free Prepaid Cremation. Details inside. ” Are you kidding me? I mean did someone tell them that I was turning 50…?

It’s crazy…I think I’m bugged by it because my 40’s have been pretty darn cool and I am kinda sad to see them go! Anyway jokes aside, all this is to say that I have put a lot of thought into how to be the best version of ourselves so that we feel good, positive and happy throughout our lives.  And I am about to share with you –the most important and indeed life changing discovery that I have made – in this my 50th year on the planet.

It’s a discovery that radically affects our happiness.  And truthfully I wish I had figured this out sooner although it was obviously not meant to be in my case. And I can sum up this lesson in one quote from Jim Carey.

“You spend your whole life imagining ghosts worrying about the pathway to the future but all there will ever be is what’s happening here and the decisions we make in this moment which are based in either love or fear…When faced with the choice of fear or love, always chose love.”

So stop worrying. Stop imagining ghosts. Stop fighting. Surrender the outcome of whatever it is that you are fighting so hard for. Let it go. Chose love. Life starts to make sense and happiness follows when we make peace with ourselves AND with our circumstances. Some days the sun shines, other days it rains and sometimes there’s one hell of a storm – but all are critical to keeping our planet renewed and alive and so it is with our lives. Do not curse the storms of your life. Make peace with them and recognize that they are essential for your renewal and the exposure of the greatness that lies within you. Good things are going to happen.
The sun always shines again and it seems much brighter after a storm. No more imaging ghosts. Make peace with the here and now and when you do, you will have cleared the pathway for your intuition and creativity. Answers will come and miracles will happen. You will make progress and progress makes us happy. But none of this happens when we are stuck in a fight. A fight with ourselves – A fight with our circumstances – a fight with others. Let it go. Choose love and joy will follow.

There is something else that I know brings joy and happiness and that is giving. So in honor of my 50th birthday I am giving away 50 free one-on-one coaching sessions with me.  So if you are ready for either major change or major achievement keep an eye out for an email from me on Friday the 13th Make sure that you reply to me right away so that you can be one of the 50 recipients! And if you are not yet a member of the JS community, make sure that you head over to jacquiesomerville.com and sign up today so that you too can receive this gift on Friday the 13th! I’m going to be really busy but I’m excited.

I love hearing from you so leave me a comment below this video and let me know the biggest lesson that you have learnt in 2015. Mine is to keep moving forward but only in peace and with love, to let go of the fight and the “shoulds”, and to embrace all that this magnificent human experience brings my way.

Happy Birthday Jacquie!! The biggest thing I have learned this year it to trust in my decisions. There is a reason we make the choices we do and we must trust that they are made because we know what is best for ourselves.

Happy Happy Birthday Jacquie, Been there and done that.
    When I turned 50 I thought…..`Oh….My….God!!!! I`ve lived a half a century!!!!`
When I turned 60 I thought…..`I can hardly believe that ten whole years have gone by since my 50th!!!`
    When I turned 70 I thought…..`Boy…what I wouldn`t give to be 50 again!!!`
When I turned 80 I thought…..`Who in the hell cares. I plan to live until I`m 104, and the only reason I`m likely to die then is that my 90 year old husband will come home, find me in bed with a young stud and shoot me. However………that depends on how steady he can hold the gun.
So Sweetie………..it`s all good from here on. Again have a fabulous birthday!!!!!
