How To Make Change Easy!

Change is tough, no doubt about it! And because of that, we put it off even when we know how important it is, right?

We put it off because we are afraid to leave our comfort zone or we feel overwhelmed by what it will take to change.

The good news is this is what today’s Jacquie Straight Up is all about: how to deal with the “overwhelm” and activate change without feeling “stuck” or scared.

It’s an amazing, empowering tool. And it works. Click above to watch.

Too many people waste their lives by being too afraid — or too overwhelmed — to make those changes they know they need to make.

Don’t be one of those people! Take control of your overwhelm, and deal with it one bite at a time, even if it’s just five minutes a day.

Because spending five minutes on something is better than spending zero time. It’s called progress. And progress is what makes us happy.

Remember, by making progress towards our goals EVERY DAY — no matter how small — you are taking control of your destiny. And you’ll be able to go to bed with a smile on your face.

I’d love to hear your take on today’s message. So please leave me a comment below, and let me know what you are going to start doing in small bites, so you can make progress in your life.

Sending love and strength,
Jacquie

Well said Jacquie. I did it the wrong way………I jumped into the deep end first! I must make my way to the shallow end and get control. (or at least a resemblance of control)!!!
    Cheers, Helena

Great advise – my problem though is being consistent. i start strong then am derailed down the line by something and then a great new habit i’m trying to instill is disrupted before it is properly set. I need to learn how to avoid getting derailed. x

Thanks Jeanne! Being OK with baby steps is how you will avoid getting derailed. Its when we drive ourselves too hard or make impossible demands on ourselves that we eventually give up. All the best!

Most of this is common sense Jacquie, but I think along the way we as adults forget that learning any new skill or attaining a goal requires a fresh start, perseverance and optimism. In the words of Dori from Funding Nemo “Just keep going, just keep going”.
Keep fighting the good fight, love your videos.Theyre very upbeat ?

I’m feeling overwhelmed by my new business venture. I feel like I’m in over my head, but I can’t stop because I’ve already invested all my money into it. Your message was what I needed to hear today.

I think this is spot on advice and exercise is really a common issue for me anyway! I also forget to give myself kudos at end of day and have noticed an inner lister who is ready to list crummy stuff or have -not -done -yets etc. I’m making a new ritual with a big glass of pure water : drink in:
write 5 victories before bed or 5 gratitudes or both ! One is better than none and pretend you feel better May be better than a habitual critic !

    Hi Jacquie
Thanks for reminding me about this and that it does not matter if we have to consider other people in our life’s. Take it one bite at a time

Awesome Annalize! Yes, remember Lao Tsu’s famous quote “A Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” – Every little bit counts and adds up to success eventually!
